The Pixel Painter
I co-directed and produced this eight minute documentary about my grandfather. After making the rounds on the festival circuit and three million online views, Microsoft licensed the footage for a 2014 Super Bowl commercial.
IMDB's Review of The Pixel Painter: “It’s obvious why this short documentary is blowing up in a big way. Hal Lasko is an incredibly compelling figure: a 97-year-old modest spitfire whose lust for life manifests itself in art created on MS Paint. Not only is he talented and achingly patient, he’s sweet and affable in that way that makes you want to adopt him as your own. And through the joyous, sometimes emotional storytelling of Ryan Lasko and Josh Bogdan, Hal has become everyone’s grandpa.”
The Time Traveling Fashionista
TTF is a popular YA book series about a young girl, a mysterious invitation and vintage fashion. I created promotional material to support the release of the series and subsequent book launches. Using illustrations and pencil sketches from the book, I created a cohesive look and feel was crea across all delivearables like canvas bags, bookmarks, buttons, and the website.
WORK4
Work4 is one of the global leaders in social and mobile recruiting. I developed a brand styleguide that outlined typography, color scheme, image usage and iconography. All of this was packaged into a Powerpoint template that teams could use and repurpose with ease.
